Teen Classroom and Behind the Wheel
The State of Minnesota requires persons under 18 years of age who wish to acquire driving privileges to complete 30 hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours of behind the wheel instruction.  Range Driver Training offers this service. Students who choose this service agreement, complete classroom and financially commit to the 6 hours of behind the wheel will be issued a Blue Slip.  (The state requires a student make a financial commitment to Behind the Wheel before a blue slip can be issued.)  The blue slip is the state form required to take the permit test.  It tells the state you completed the classroom portion of driver education and made a financial commitment to take the required 6 hours of behind the wheel. Behind the wheel lessons will be 1 student to 1 instructor.  Occasionally there may be other students or instructors as observers in the car for your lesson. Cost for combined classroom and Behind the Wheel is $400.00 The service agreement goes into more detail.

Teen Behind the Wheel
Persons under 18 years of age must complete 6 hours of behind the wheel with a licensed instructor. Cost for 6 hours of behind the wheel is $300.00.  If you have moved into the area and already have your permit from a different driving school you may take behind the wheel only.  Whether you need to acquire your permit or already have your permit you will need a Letter of Classroom Completion on school letterhead from the driving school that provided the classroom.  The Letter of Classroom Completion will be attached to the service agreement for  Behind the Wheel only. Behind the wheel lessons will be 1 student to 1 instructor.  Occasionally there may be other students or instructors as observers in the car for your lesson. Students/parents may purchase additional behind the wheel instruction hours at $50 per hour.

Teen Classroom Only
This is the 30-hour classroom instruction required for persons under 18 years of age who want to acquire a permit.  On completion of classroom you will be issued a Letter of Classroom Completion. This letter does not enroll you in behind the wheel and you will not be allowed to take a permit test with this letter.  You must present the Letter of Classroom Completion to the company you wish to take behind the wheel with.  The company that provides the behind the wheel instruction MUST issue the blue slip which allows you to take the permit test. Cost for classroom only is $135.00

Road Test Vehicle Rental
Provided a vehicle is available, you may arrange to use one of our vehicles for a road test for $50.
